Top 5 brands from the Bloggers Summer Hangout

The Bloggers Hangout is a great place to be a part of as a blogger; they organise fun events and introduce bloggers to exciting new brands. For their 3rd anniversary they hosted a three-day long party at the Strand Gallery in Central London. Did you not make it to the event? Don't despair, I've rounded up my favourite brands below!

The Pink Parcel

Without a doubt my favourite discovery at the Bloggers Summer Hangout was The Pink Parcel, a monthly subscription box for your period. Yes, really. Not only do they provide you with everything you need for your period that month (whether you use pads or tampons), but they also pack the box with goodies to make the time of the month women usually dread a lot more pleasant. Goodies always include tea, food and pampering products. I saw a few of their past boxes (and their upcoming July box) and wow, it really is jam-packed with amazing things that will actually make you look forward to that time of the month! The picture below features some goodies I was given at the event and were in some of their previous boxes, how awesome does it all look?

The box is normally £10.50 (incl. P&P) but you can order your first one for just £6.99. And they gave me a code at the event for a box for just £5 so I'll be ordering mine in the next few months and I'll do an unboxing on here. Even £10.50 I think is a really reasonable price considering that a lot of monthly boxes I've eyed recently (beauty and book related) are nearer £30 (especially shipping is often high) and they're not even as useful as this one. Plus you can buy as many or few boxes as you want, as you can stop the subscription at any time. So what are you waiting for?

Sass & Belle

If you know me offline then you know I am obsessed with Sass & Belle. I'm always nipping into their shops in London and Brighton to buy things for myself and as gifts as everything is so darn cute. I own too many of their owl pillows than is probably reasonable and I also have many of their lunch and snack boxes, white ceramic jewellery holders and everything ever they released with a fox print. They're pretty much the best.

However, I've been trying to be good recently and not spend hours ogling their website or visiting their shops so I've been a bit out of the loop when it comes to the current ranges. So it was a super pleasant surprise to run into them at the Bloggers Summer Hangout event and see a selection of their awesome new cacti and travel products. And to top it all off, they gifted me some goodies too! Thanks Sass & Belle ♥ ♥ ♥

DinkiBelle

I've been intrigued by nail wraps for a while now but wasn't so certain about their durability, however the lovely lady from DinkiBelle single-handledly sold this awesome product to me! It sounds super easy to use and they're supposed to last up to 2 weeks which is brilliant, because my normal polishes usually only really look good for one working week.

She was also kind enough to let me pick one of the nail wraps I liked best to try it for myself and while the one that instantly caught my eye (Pastel Princess) was no longer available, I love my Cath Kidston inspired second choice and I can't wait to try them. Once I have, I'll make sure to report back here.

Brown Sugarbox

I love cupcakes, but other than pretty decorations there usually isn't really one brand that distinguishes itself from another when I see cupcakes at a festival or fair, however Brown Sugarbox is definitely unique – and I absolutely love it! Yes, they do 'regular' cakes and cupcakes but the ones that really stood out to me at the Bloggers Summer Hangout were their boozy cupcakes, which were injected with a shot of liquor. It's a fun idea and incredibly tasty too, I'll definitely be checking out more from them.

Cocktail Mania

Last, but certainly not least, another boozy brand I loved meeting at the event was Cocktail Mania. They're slush puppies but with alcohol in them, which I think is a brilliant idea and I can't understand why I haven't come across something like this before as it's perfect for summer festivals. I had a mixture of the boozy blue and mocktail red which was the perfect combo as the blue was quite strong but the red diluted it (plus the purple cocktail it ended up being was a beauty!).

There were quite a few other brands at the event too but I don't want to make this post too long and so I'm keeping it to my absolute favourite top 5. Make sure you check them out and let me know what you think of them! I'll be ordering a Pink Parcel in the coming months and will do an unboxing on here once it has arrived. And I'll also do a blog on nail wraps and DinkiBelle once I've had a chance to test them out. Thanks to The Bloggers Hangout for another ace event and congrats on your 3rd anniversary – here's to many more!

    1. It's great, isn't it? I know we've been both eyeing monthly subscription boxes and this one is definitely on the affordable end of the scale plus it's super useful too. Let me know what you think if you try them out too :)
